Our story begins with the closing of the infamous cheesesteak mogul “The Joint”, formally known as “99 Miles to Philly.” After its’ closing in January 2018, the once General Manager David and his wife Izzie decided to continue the legend of 99 Miles and together they ventured to create a new Philly inspired brand called Izzie’s Cheeseteaks. The duo recruited Chef Kelly Lebrun, who had worked for 14 years at 99 Miles, and promoted him to Executive Chef – a position that allowed him to unleash his culinary talents and create an original new menu, keeping the original authentic flavors while adding a unique twist.
